BILLETING
Our goal is to prepare our players for future success in hockey and in life. To assist in this effort, it is Buffalo Stampede policy, for each player joining our team from out-of-town, to be placed with a billet host family while playing for our club. We feel that this allows players to have the necessary freedom to grow, while providing a stable, supportive home environment designed to enrich their life experience.
What is Billeting?
Billeting is when a local host family welcomes an out-of-town player into their home. Billet host families provide billet players with a stable and supportive family away from home.
Who is a Billet Host Family?
A billet host family is any family willing to open their home to a young, passionate hockey player pursing his dream to play hockey at the collegiate and professional level. A billet host family has the time and interest to be a mentor, friend, counselor and good role model.
Why Billet?
Hosting a Buffalo Stampede player is a great experience, whether you have a house full of kids or you are an empty-nester. Billet players will bring energy, excitement and gratitude to your home and family environment.
